Die Untersuchung des Einflusses von Liedern auf den Wortschatzerwerb im Deutschunterricht in den 10.Klasssen

This study aims to determine the effects of including German songs in German classes on the vocabulary of the 10th graders. The study took place in the 2nd semester of the 2018-2019 education period in ' Bursa Hürriyet Anadolu Lisesi'. The practice lasted 16 weeks. For this study, suitable songs were chosen and they were prepared for use in the classes. The students were asked their opinions of using songs in the classes and to see the effects of this practice in vocabulary development a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control groups has been used. Qualitative and quantitative data were gathered. With the gathered results, it was proven that songs were effective on students' vocabulary development and consolidation. Lastly, there were suggestions about using German songs in classes
