Abstract (EN)

In 12-14 Years Old Female Taekwondo Players Aim: This study was conducted to examine the effects of bosu exercises on selected biomotor characteristics in 12-14 years old female taekwondo players. Material and Method: The population of the research included taekwondo players in Malatya. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 30 female athletes between the ages of 12-14, who were actively engaged in taekwondo sports, fifteen of whom were experimental and fifteen of whom were determined by random method. Taekwondo training was applied to both groups for 8 weeks, 3 days a week for 80 minutes. In addition to taekwondo training, 30 minutes of bosu exercises were applied to the experimental group. Before and after the measurements, participants' anthropometric (height, body weight, BMI, BFI), selected biomotor traits (static-dynamic balance, flexibility, 30 m speed, agility, reactive agility, back and leg strength, sit-ups, push-ups, plank, reaction time) values were recorded. SPSS package program was used to evaluate the data. Independent sample t-test was used to examine the differences between groups, and paired-sample t-test was used to compare dependent groups. The significance of the results was evaluated at the p<0.05 level. Results: A significant difference was found out between body weight, BMI and BFI values in intergroup anthropometric characteristics. Significant differences were found out between the agility, flexibility, sit-up, push-up and plank values in intergroup biomotor tests. A significant difference was found between the static balance swing area values and dynamic balance performance of right foot, right outer swing area, right swing reaction time and left swing reaction time values in intergroup static and dynamic balance values. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was determined that bosu exercises applied in addition to taekwondo training contribute positively to some anthropometric tests and biomotor characteristics of the taekwondo players.
