Abstract (EN)
In the stages of selecting and directing talent in sports, determing yield levels with objective criteria requires the use of norms. The normative studies we did for this purpose according to the 13-17 age group male athlets, as there were for track&field (n=270) and for wrestling (n=470) throughout 39 different cities in Turkey were made between October 2009 and March 2010.For the athletes in this research group, measurements were made in height, weight, BMI, standing long jump, 30 m. sprint, 20 m. shuttle run, VO2max, squat jump, CMJ, anaerobic power, right and left hand grip strength, medicine ball throw, 30 sec. sit-ups, body fat percent, somatotype parameters; also norms were created for the age categories, which were specified for the track&field and wrestling branches. In addition branches were compared with each other and also in itselfs, so there similarities and differences have revealed. In parallel to the age of athletes their parameter values increased, it was determined that compared to the wrestlers the height values of the track&field athletes had a higher accereleration. It was founded that the aerobic endurance decrease depends on the increase of the fat rate; further the anaerobic power ability was closely related to medicine ball throwing. This research will give Turkish sportsmen in track&field and wrestling branches the right to be selected, developed and directed according to norms.Key Words: Athletics, Wrestling, Normative, Talent, Adolescent, Physical, Physiological
