Evaluation of the pre-season performance parameters of the archers aged 14-16

This study conducted for evaluation of the pre-season performance parameters of the archers aged 14-16. The study group consisted of 32 males and 15 females' athletes whose sport age were 2 and above. Forty-seven athletes whose average age 14.72±1.34 years, height 169.74±12.29 cm, body weight 63.72±15.45 kg and sports age 4.51±2.06 years participated in this study voluntarily. In the study, right and left shark skill test, Davies test, medicine ball throwing one foot and two feet test, auditory reaction test, visual reaction test and flexibility tests were applied to the participants. When the pre-season performance parameters of the athletes were examined according to the gender variable, it was found that the average values of male athletes were hider compared to female athletes in medicine ball throwing single-foot, double-foot and T test results. In the right and left shark skill test, it was determined that the averages of the female athletes were higher than the male athletes. In performance parameters; In the evaluation of the situation according to the sports experiences between the groups of athletes who have just started and are older in sports, it has been determined that the averages of the athletes who have just started in the right and left shark skill test are higher. When the relationship between medicine ball throwing single foot, double foot and right shark, left shark skill test and Davies test parameters and auditory reaction test was examined, a significant relationship was found between only medicine ball double foot and auditory reaction tests (p<0.001). When the relationship between the visual reaction test and the auditory reaction test was examined, a statistically significant relationship was found between the right anterior visual reaction and the reaction auditory test (p<0.05). When the flexibility test results of the athletes according to the gender variable were examined, a statistically significant difference was found (p<0.05). According to the results of this study, some performance parameters of 14-16 year old archers differ in male and female athletes. In addition, it was determined that there was an inverse, moderately strong significant relationship between the double-foot medicine ball throwing test and the auditory reaction test. A positive, moderately strong significant relationship was found between the visual right reaction test and the auditory reaction test of the athletes.
