The relationship between attachment styles and anxiety susceptibility of teenagers who are 14-17 years old

In the research, it has been aired to examie the relationship between anxiety sensitivities and attachment styles of 14-17 years old teenagers. Differentation cases of anxiety sensitivity and attachment styles are also examined according to demographic variables. This research which has been carried out to examine the relationship between anxiety sensitivity and attachment styles of 14-17 years old teenagers has been designed by relational screening model. 14-17 years old teenagers who study at formal secondary schools subjected to Ministry of Public Education in Manisa in 2019- 2020 school year constitute the content of research. 230 students who continue education in secondary schools constitse the sample. While "The Relationship Scales Survey" has been used to survey the attachment styles of teenagers. "The Anxiety Sensitivity Scale For Children" has been used to survey anxiety sensitivity of teenagers in the research. Personal Information Form, developed by researcher to get demographic informations of families, has been used. SPSS 21 program has been used for analysis of data. "Normality Test" has been carried out to determine whether the releaved data are done according to normality rules or not. It has been determined that the data have been done according to normality rules. "T test" from "Parametric Tests" and "One Way Anova" test have been used. Correlation Analysises have been used to examine hypothesises of research. According to research results, it has been determined that the girls' fearful, preoccupied attachment levels and their anxiety sensitivitiy level are higher than boys. It has been determined that the secure attachment levels of the ones whose mother is a graduate are higher than the ones whose mother isn't literate. The dissmissive avoidant points of people who appreciate the father attitude as authoritative are significiantly higher than the ones who appreciate the father attitude as democratic and conservative. The secure attachment points of people who appreciate the father attitude as authoritative and democratic are significantly higher than the ones who appreciate the father attitude as conservative. While there is a positivie correlation between anxiety sensitivity and fearful, dismissive and preoccupied attachment, there is a negative correlation between anxiety sensitivity and secure attachment according to research resuits.
