The Situation of young people of ages between 15 and 24 and their future expectations: Muğla example

This study is titled as "The situation of young people of ages between 15 and 24 and their future expectations" and is applied on youngs living in Muğla. The level of the problems they are in, the reasons of the problems, the possibilities of their solutions have been tried to be determined. The effort to corelate personel events and social events made it a necessity that problems, must be handled in "social-psychology way", taking into consideration the family system. The problems are studied in a general socialization frame. Within a specific age slice, the young is defined as person who tries to develop his/her own feelings, opinions, behaviour and attitudes. The young's family, school and business life, the behaviour, attitude opinion and knowledge that will be a result of his/her relationships with her/his close environment, is gaining importance in society with the factors that will shape both his/her own and the future of society. Having youngs with healthy and productive personal characteristics may be possible in a sufficient and high quality socialization environment. It is seen that, the problems that arise related to young population, with solutions in accordance with social, economic, politic and cultural structure, have weighted importance to determine the future of the society lived in. The basic purpose of this research, is to make a muM directional determination of a specific proportion of the young population (youngs in Muğla). When trying to realize this, the problems of youngs are handled not only as problems of the youngs living in Muğla, but in the frame of problems arising from their socialization environments since this group is a part of the changing society. The basic assumption I used is that; "Economic, social, cultural and politic factors effect the expectations of young in a negative way, and cause them to be pessimistic for the future". The research that tested the assumption of "the sources of the problems that young live in today, are in sufficient socialization and the depression caused by this", made positive contribution to this study.
