Abstract (EN)
Hijri 1319-1323 (A.D 1903-1907) dated 159 numbered Ayntab Islamic registers consist of 499 pages totally. In this study, 302 provisions in the first 242 pages of Islamic registers have been determined, transcripted and assessed. These provisions include decision(i?lam), script(hüccet), devolution, appointment of guardianship, proxy, endowment (vakfiye), partition of inheritance and seizure. It is aimed to make a contribution to the present knowledge of Ayntab from social, political, cultural and economical aspects. It is also aimed to make contribution to the settlement of the province from geographical aspect by determining the township, district, town, village and the other place names in the provisions.On the other hand, in the 159 numbered Islamic registers, Armenian names and neighbourhoods have been detected. Besides, it has been founded out that Armenians also handled their matters through Islamic Courts.Keywords: Ayntab, Islamic register, Decision(İ?lam), Kassâm, Script(Hüccet), Endowment(Vakfiye)
