Abstract (EN)

In this study, the psychological and sociological factors which influence the choice outfit of young people who has high purchasing power and are living in Goztepe, Taksim and Florya district of Istanbul in TURKEY and the aged 16-24 years, are tried to be analyzed. Based on this context, the factors affecting the the sample group of young people within the 16-24 age group?s choice of clothes and the degrees of priority to these factors are tried to be clarified. In addition to these information, the differences between high school and university students in shopping and fashion-related thoughts is evaluated. In this context, a survey,carried out primarily to young people aged 16-24 years, was prepared. According to the survey question responses, the factors that influence clothing choices of this he sample group of young people is tried to determine.Scales through the analysis of data collected by the research program carried out using SPSS V16.0. The results obtained are in line with the non-parametric data analysis, Chi Snow, Mann-Whitney U, the methods used.
