The aplication areas are expressed within the examples of maritima sector and navigation. Secondly, Kitab-i Bahriye a unique book of Piri Reis, which was prepared as a sea guide for naval men and presented to the Sultan of the period in 1526 was investigated again in terms of its' history, methodology and components. Lastly we tried to make a comparision of these two "GIS and Kitab-i Bahriye".
