Abstract (EN)

The relation between producer and the one who products in 16th century Ottoman architecture, which was called as classical era and the art and the production were exhibited in their highest levels, so that the efects of the dormers (patronage) on applied construction, which here is considered as producer, have been examined in the speciality of Istanbul's mosques of the classical era. While the effects of the dormers (patronage) on products are being researched, a collective cross section about the Ottoman architecture in this period, which the power of the state and the levels of the art and production were in the highest, is given in the first section of this researched. The Ehl-i Hiref Organization and Hassa Architects' Guild, which were the most important two foundations of applied Ottoman art and were consisted of the supports and protections on artists and craftmen by the patronage, is studied in the second chapter of the researched. The foundation system, which was the fact of Ottoman development, and the people called donners (patronage) whom they because legal in public's eye by the foundation system and the effects of these people on art production are studied in the third chapter of the researhed. In the fourth chapter of the study; the mosques, which were built by three padishahs (Bayezid II, Süleyman I, Ahmet I) and five viziers / grand viziers (Atik Ali Pasha, Bali Pasha, Rüstem Pasha, Sokullu Mehmet Pasha, Nişancı Mehmet Pasha), three commanders (Sinan Pasha, Piyale Pasha, Kılıç Ali Pasha) and padishah mothers-wives-sisters (Hürrem Sultan, Mihrimah Sultan, îsmihan Sultan) whom their dormer (patronage) activities are studied in the Ottoman's classical era, are researched. The evaluation of the question what are the effects and the contributions of the padishahs, viziers / grand viziers, commanders and padishah mothers-wives-sisters, whom they are studied as the dormer (patronage), to the art production are given in the evaluation and result chapter of the researched.
