According to the 17th century Mühimme registration books of Kütahya

The Mühimme Registration Books, being at the head of the significant sources of 17thcentury Ottoman history, are the significant application sources because of containing most ofthe political, social and top rank sentences. As it is understood by its name, these books are atthe head of the significant books that are covered at Divan. Mühimme Books are consisted ofa technical term called ?sentences?. These sentences are the copies of firman that will be sentto the people. It is seen that these books contain information about managerial, militaryservices? constitutions, their working style, processing, legal characteristics, harp history andlogistics informations, the relations of the the state with the non-muslim and othercongregations, these congregations?social constitutions, culturel and science life.Right after Anatolian Beylerbeyi had been established, Kütahya that is the center ofthis Beylerbeyi, became a significant center at Ottoman managerial constitution. Beylerbeylikwas the shahzadac sanjak and also a center where other significant statesmen worked asBeylerbeyi.According to the 17th century Mühimme Registration Books, 37 books were searchedand in 31 books sentences were seen about Kütahya. In these Mühimme Registration Books,including 1602-1701 era, 178 sentences were fixed about political and social life of Kütahyain that era. In the course of this research, it is possible to realize the significant events in thatera from the sentences that were written to the statesmen of Kütahya. The commonexpressions in the sentences are in the form of social and military qualities.This research is composed of four parts. In the first part informations are quoted aboutshort history of Kütahya from antiquity to 17th century. In the second part, Divan-ı Hümayün.In the third part, transcriptions and briefs of 178 fixed sentences have a part. And in the fourtpart, in other words, in the evaluation part, informations that were got from sentences arecommented and concluded.
