Abstract (EN)
Revolutions took place in North America in 1776 and France in 1789, and two declarations were drafted as a result. These declarations are the manifestation of modern liberty. Liberty, which is seen as founded on the moral autonomy of each individual in society, can be questioned concerning both declarations, and many differences can be observed in practice. In this study, the source and scope of liberty in these two declarations are examined comparatively to determine the nature of the liberty that emerged in the rupture with the Church.
