The costume analysis for Ottoman Period films on several miniatures and literary texts of 18th century

This study has been made to find features to be primary sources as evidents of the descriptions of visual (miniatures) and written (Literature of Divan ) of the manuscripts with miniatures related period having an epic narration structure and design understandings in the process Costume Design making for Period Films trying to give the 18th century of Ottoman Period Reality . The method of this research is to apply social semiotics analyses onto miniatures and written text of manuscripts selected for this study and to give samples of costume designs that I made benefitting from the manuscrits. The result of this study is that the 18th century of Ottoman Manuscripts with miniatures describe many features as social semiotics related garments of Sultan and the other ones as epic figures. The social semiotics of garments described in epic design undrstanding on manuscripts are body and face expressions , garment structures and accessories, space structures and objects.All these social semiotics features describes garments of period . Therefore, Manuscripts with miniature are primary sources for costume designs process of Ottoman Period Films.
