Abstract (EN)
This research includes the applications of Kütahya Tile forms and motifs in the 18th century with the technique of watercolor painting and their plastic analysis. The development of Kütahya tiles and motifs in the historical process and the usage areas of Kütahya tiles in the 18th century were examined. As we approach the present day, it is observed that Kütahya tile forms are still used, and thanks to the changes made in the shape of the forms, it attracts the same attention today. It is seen that Kütahya tile motifs are used in many areas. Fabric printing, marbling art, jewelery making art, illumination art, painting art are some of these areas. Today, the search for changes on forms and motifs still continues. The similarity between the watercolor technique and the tile painting technique is striking. Based on this, 18th century Kütahya tile forms and motifs were interpreted with 10 watercolors on paper and 5 tile paints on tile by applying watercolor technique. This research reveals the applicability of tile motifs and forms on watercolor paper and tile plate in accordance with the watercolor technique.
