TRANSCRIPTION AND EDITION CRITIOUE OF KURUÇAY, ÇARDAKLI AND BEYVILLAGES OF TAVŞANLI REGION IN KÜTAHYA PROVINCE OF HÜDAVEND GARSTATE ACCORDING TO INCOME TAX BOOKS IN 1845 ( H.1261)smail KARTALABSTRACT.With the declaration of the renovation in the 19 th century. The Ottoman Empirestarted to make reconstructions.Incoming Tax was reconstructed by removing some taxes witharrangements based on economical structure of the state.Income, which means profit, gaining,was apelied an considering of yearly income of the family. According to these incomes,inventory, which includes the whole state, was made. And, the books, prepared to register theıncome of the family, has been called ıncome Tax Books.The ıncome Tax Books which gives utmost important information about the socialand economic structure of the Ottoman Empire in 19 th century exists in the OttomanArchives of Prime Ministry. These Books include the registration of the family?s ıncomerelated to property, land, animal ıncomes and professions and craft ıncome. Income TaxBooks are based on the registration of the incomes in 1840 and 1845, and the most of theseregistrations were done in 1845. It is possible to find out detailed information about theeconomical conditions, structure of the land and agricultural production, proportion of stock-farming,the income and confort of the families and area, craft and profession dispersion,andthe locality of the area in the State.These registers having been classifeld in 1988 and kept in Ottoman Archives of PrimeMinistry were submitted to the researchers.
