The effect of the remergence of realism which aroused in the beginning of 19th century in contemporary art to the artistic environment

The aim of this research is the realism movement, which took place in the 19th century, was handled by artists under a different dimension and was researced of their impact on the art environment. In this research, qualitative research methods and techniques were used. Within the scope of the research, domestic and foreign books, articles and dissertations were reached through literature search technique. In the 19th century when the perception of reality was handled in a different dimension,in the environment which has been created as a result of the industrial revolution, the photograph was invented that deeply influenced the art of painting. The main purpose of the realism movement in which the changing perception of reality with photography and social class distinctions is taken as an artistic element, is question reality in a realistic manner. The realism and the question of reality, taken together with the art movements after realism have been prepared the process of abstract expressionism. The hyperrealism that emerged after abstract expressionism was born as a result of a reaction this art movement. The hyperrealism movement created more realistic works from the photograph and questioned its reality with the images it uploaded. In this context, the data obtained by the literature search technique has been comprehensively discussed and analyzed according to descriptive analysis method. In the scope of the research, it was watched over that the art environment was an interdisciplinary period from the 1960s to the present. The works of Nur Koçak, Mustafa Sekban, Taner Ceylan, Cömert Doğru, Mustafa Yüce, Ali Özhan Güneş, Rüstem Kasapoğlu, Yıldırım İnce and Alican Leblebi were examined to scope of work. Although the action of 'taking photo' was so developed and adopted as a branch of art, it was concluded that the cause of the adoption of (hyper) realist attitude was the effect of subjective reality consisting sourced from 'painting' which the artist created on the object.
