Evaluation of some operations of the Turkish army between 1908-1939 in the context of "Hybrid war"

The term "Hybrid Warfare" began to be used in 2006 to formulate the methods and tactics used by Hezbollah against Israel as a result of the Second Lebanon War. Although the events that resulted in Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014 initially caused surprise because they were below the traditional war threshold of NATO, the USA and the EU, in the following period, definitions such as "Hybrid War" and "Hybrid Threat" were made for the whole of the activities. When these definitions are analyzed in detail, it can be seen that the issues referred to as "hybrid" have their counterparts in the historical process, and although they are not defined, they are applied in accordance with the spirit of the period and with similar forms and methods. In this context, it is considered that the "operational designs" of the parties should be examined first in the analyzes and propositions to be made. The most important argument used in creating the concept of "hybrid war" is the use of regular and non-regular troops, forces and methods in the same field of operations, and the continuation of propaganda and perception management during implementation. With the analyzes to be made within this framework, it has been seen that there are many battles and wars that can be considered within the scope of "hybrid war". In this context, it is considered that the creation and spread of the concept of "Hybrid War" is conjuncturally meaningful and that these and similar definitions may be seen in the future, especially due to the "New World Order" established after the Second World War and the attitude of the United Nations organization prohibiting war in disputes between states. Ultimately, it is considered that definitions and concepts are valuable in the places where they are created, and that it would be appropriate to analyze exactly what the concepts express and use them within the framework of the concept of war. It is considered that understanding the concept of war, which is otherwise difficult to define and understand, will become even more difficult with increasing complexity.
