1939-1945 Tan Newspaper Refik Halid Karay's articles and 2015-2021 Hürriyet Newspaper's similarities and experts

This study is a research study using different disciplines in gastronomy. The research covers a certain year range. Especially the articles between the years 1939-1945 include the political and social reflections of the years of the Second World War, including Turkey. It is possible to see the traces of the developments in these years in our food culture in the writings of Refik Halit Karay in this date range. Refik Halit Karay's thirty articles published in Tan Newspaper during this period and sixteen articles by Vedat Milor in Hürriyet Newspaper between 2015-2021 constitute the content of this study. The time elapsed between 1939-2021 is eighty-one years. In the 82-year period, Turkey has gone through many political-social transformations. These transformations had reflections on both political life and social life. The effect of the reflections in social life on social life continued in the form of cultural problems from the past and not fully settled, as well as mostly for economic reasons. For all these reasons, the reflection of social and political turmoil on the lifestyle has affected food cultures and has included discussions about culinary culture. During the 82- year period, the traces of many positive and negative developments can be seen in the columns. This situation shows that the similarities of the column articles continue. In the study, the results of the comparison of the articles were tried to be evaluated. In this study, periodical and current columns showing the continuity of our problems were examined. As a matter of fact, the reasons for the continuation of similar gastronomic "problems" 82 years ago and today have brought along some questions. This study has tried to present similar tables of many positive or negative gastronomy developments that we are trying to detect today through columns.
