Abstract (EN)
Among the transitions that Turkish society has undergone in terms of modernization, Republic is the biggest move that has been made on behalf of modernization. Wiht this move, women have attained a number of public rights. However, there have been some reactions which have prevented their showing themselves up in public by limiting women to their traditional role "motherhood". While on the one hand the enlightened people in society have defended modernization, on the other hand the privileges that women have got brought some doubts and concerns along with them. The patriarchal conception, which has faced with the danger of identity loss because of the concerns such as the collapse of socaial structure, the end of familt etc. has resisted to the freedom of women and has caused them to be confined to traditional roles by arranging women's freedom according to their benefits. In this study, on the purpose of examining the emergent resistances appearances in literatüre, female and male authors who have emerged as leaders of thought of the period between 1940-1980, Works that have reached large reader mass have been analyzed. After the first period during which Republic revolutions have risen and women have been given social and political rights, it has been intended to show how these revolutions have affected the perception and representation of women in society.
