Abstract (EN)

THE EDUCAT ON POL CY ADM N STERED BETWEEN 1946-1960ZAR FE KER MOĞLUABSTRACTThe transforming into a multiparty period has reflected on to the education policy. CHPhas given at its first general assembly the first signals of this change, while placing certainarticles in the party program and in the government programs that determined the educationpolicy, has also took into consideration the existence of an opposition. Of the nationaleducation councils held in this period the Fourth National Education Council that specificallystressed on democratic education, occupies an important place. In spite of the presence of aresemblance between the programs of DP and of CHP, the emphasis attached in the DPprogram and in the government programs on the moral values, has revealed the difference ofDP.The Community Centres and the Village Institutes were the two foundations closeddown within this period, religion education was brought back again to the schools and hasbeen spread to all the education levels. The principles of democratic education have beenreflected on to primary education and secondary education syllabus. Besides autonomyhaving been granted to the universities in this period, stepping into a multi-university periodwas experienced also; furthermore some arguments on this granted autonomy have beenexperienced too.
