Between the years 1950-1955 perception of Turkey Atatürk press

The transition to multi-party life in the history of Turkish democracy and the coming of the Democratic Party to power with the 1950 elections is very important. A new era in Turkish history has begun with the party, which has ruled the country for 27 years, delivered power without any problems. In our study, the perception of Atatürk in the Turkish press between 1950 and 1955 was discussed and examined. The events that took place between these years and their reflections on the press were explained. Milliyet, Vatan, Zafer, Ulus and Yeni Asır newspapers and Büyük Doğu, Sebilürreşad İnkılap (Devrim) Gençliği journals were used for the research. Using official publications at the same time, the study was supported. After the transition to multi-party life, in order to take the vote of the conservative segment, we see that the Atatürk revolutions have been compromised from time to time. The mob against the revolutions had increased its power even further during the period of the Democratic Party, which was encouraged by this situation. The tolerance of the new government against the reactionaries increased the attacks against Atatürk and his revolutions and the measures taken by the government were inadequate. All these events and the subjects on the axis of Atatürk were discussed with their reflections on the press.
