Prof. Feridun ALPER In this study, it was aimed to determine the improvement and change process of the mother language education in Turkive. In the introduction section of the thesis, general information related to native language education was presented while curricuiums were emphasised in Part I. Also, seven curricuiums. which were practiced during 1950-2000 years were taken to the thesis in this section. In Part U, on the other hand, textbooks and their importance were emphasised and a list of the textbooks taught during the same period was given. Training the trainers, education and language policies were dealt with under the title of "The National Education Policies Practised in Turkey" in Partm. Along with the conclusions given in Part IV, relavant suggestions were depicted at the end of each section. Materials used in forming this study were given in the bibliograpgh section.
