Abstract (EN)
Forming the basis of the artist's relationship with the environment, the drawing and its basic element line refer to an unfinished, changing and developing process compared to painting. When the drawing is considered to be a continuous way of the point with a line, the human's act of drawing with any tools available reveals that we are not different from the motives of our primitive ancestors. The drawing production has taken on different tasks until today due to important social breaking points and eras with aesthetic concerns, and the perspective of the drawing has undergone various changes. The liberation movement in art, which started with romanticism and continued with modernism reversed the principles of classical art, which were previously subservient of religion and the noble class. Although drawings gained a place as important as the paintings during this era, they continued to be drafts by carrying on the tradition. The fact that it is a direct and basic means of expression, and it carries the leading thoughts, actions and complex concepts easily has made the line an activity that is often referenced in the post-modern era. Whatever the drawing is used for, it is the memory of the artist formed by the line like a journal in terms of making the artist's most intimate and private space visible. All the changes regarding the use and purpose of the line have undergone a parallel metamorphosis with the social structure. The aim of this study is to examine the disengagement process of the drawing from the classical context and its relation to the material through contemporary art as a means of expression and to present alternative perspectives to the field of art in this context.
