Abstract (EN)
Printmaking experienced a rapid growth in Turkey during 1970s. The political, economic, cultural environment and social development, new art movements aslo influenced the artists and enabled the opening of new workshops. The reflection of artists't figurative and non figurative images on printmaking was multiplied with the increase of pressing machines in the 70s. In this field, the development of the art environment in the 70s, exhibitions and competitions made an important contribution to the art of printmaking. The artists affiliated with State Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Painting at Gazi University Graduate School of Education, State Academy of Applied Fine Arts developed printmaking. The figurative and non figurative works of artist who work and educate in institutions reflected the cultural influence of the period and laid the foundations of printmaking. In the first part of the thesis, the social structure of the 70s, the art environment, the contributions of the exhibitions to the art of printmaking, figurative and non figurative trends are included. In the second part of the thesis, the contributions of the State Academy of Fine Arts and the works of Adnan Çoker, Güngör İblikçi, Süleyman Saim Tekcan, and Asım İşler are handled, The impact of Gazi Education Institute Painting Department and the contribution of the works of Mustafa Aslıer, Muammer Bakır, Mürşide İçmeli, and Hayati Misman are handled. The contribution of the State Applied Fine Arts Academy and the figurative and non figurative imageries, printmaking understandings and contributions of artists Aliye Berger, Mustafa Pilevneli, Ergin İnan, Fevzi Karakoç were examined.
