Religious political transformation of women in Islamic journals after 1980

Our thesis titled "Religious Political Transformation of Women in Islamic Journals After 1980" consists of an introduction and four chapters. In the introduction part of our thesis, there is information about the subject, purpose, importance, method conceptual framework, scope and limitations of the research. The main subject of our thesis is to analyze the approach of Islamism to women's issue through Islamist magazines and to analyze the new identity of the new client against this approach. The main problem that our study tries to reveal is to identify the main dynamics underlying Islam's approach to the issue of Islam as well as the content of the new language of discourse created by the Islamic women against this positioning by women. Our assumption is that after 1980, women in the context of "Turkish Modernization" have built a new female identity. This new identity created by the women by transforming the modern in line with their own values can also be considered as the most important indicator of the evolving from the "object" position to the "subject" position. According to this assumption, religious and political concerns and their social, political and economic roles and duties should be evaluated by considering the newly formed discourse of the women. Our main purpose in the thesis is to base our basic problems and assumptions on the axis of Islamist journals. We used the periodical analysis method to reveal the transformation of the roles and duties determined for women in our study, which we limited to the books and columns of Islamic actors of Islamist magazines and periods. This analysis mütedeyyin starting to happen in 1980 after performing in Turkey we tried to examine women's struggle to individuals. This thesis reveals several conclusions. First of all, we came to the conclusion that the women whose main role was determined by the idea of Islamism as "mother", "wife" and "service to the case" and the place of which was "home", redefined the roles and duties of women and created a new identity of women. Secondly, the conclusion we have reached is that this modern identity created by internalizing modernity and transforming it with its own core values in the context of multiple modernity theory has a specific, free and intellectual structure.
