Abstract (EN)

This study aims to understand the effects of individualization on the social and economic structure in Turkey and to reveal the basic dynamics of these effects. In this context, the individualization process has been tried to be handled through parameters that affect social change such as modernization, migration from village to city, technological developments, globalization and economic policies. In this context, interviews were conducted with 30 people aged 60 and over who could remember and interpret the 1980s with the in-depth interview technique, one of the qualitative research methods, in order to understand the evolution of the individualization phenomenon in order to analyze the individualization process in Turkey after 1980 through social change dynamics and economic policies, and the thoughts and observations of the participants were analyzed. According to the findings, individualization is closely related to the economy and social change processes; It has been observed that politics, modernization, globalization and other dynamics trigger and intensify the individualization process.
