Abstract (EN)

This study, which focused on the relationship of printmaking with the political, cultural and economic process in Turkey after 1980, determined its approach to the subject through three main headings. In three main headings; The dynamics that developed with the impact of the political process on the socio-cultural, economic environment and especially the art environment were brought together. The intense dialogue of printmaking with the political environment of the period and the important breaking points that took place in this process were brought together. In the first part, the political process that formed the basis of the 1980 period was brought to the fore, and then the 1980 period was revealed and started to be conveyed with all its variability. The face of the political, economic and cultural process reflected in the art environment and their relative relations with each other are discussed together. In the second part, it is explained how printmaking progressed in an axis by going down to its historical process, how much the political balance sheet in the period affected printmaking, with which maneuvers it took its place in the art environment and adopted by artists in this process. are also included in this section. In the third chapter, it has been determined that although printmaking has undergone a serious transformation, some of its problems still continue and why the problems mentioned in this chapter may be the cause.
