Özet (EN)
The goal of this study is to analyse how women concerning politics driven by governments in Turkey between the periods of 1990 – 2007 and the decisions taken are reflected to Turkish print media, specific to newsletters. The news headlines, texts and visuals of the three newspapers addressing different circles were analyzed in the context of discourse analysis and interpreted in accordance with the perspective of patriarchal theory and women's studies. While reflecting important issues from the agenda of the country to the public, the newspapers, which can reach millions of people even with a single daily edition, reproduce gender inequality and maintain patriarchal society. They give the society's expectation from women as a natural phenomenon, make influence on the readers' thoughts and perpetually renew this practice. The society gives the expectation of the woman like a natural situation in the news, affects the reader's thoughts and this process is constantly renewed. Based on this framework, the women discourse production patterns of the Milliyet, Cumhuriyet and Hürriyet newspapers are examined and reached the conclusion that they had different attitudes from each other. As a conclusion, the construction of the patriarchal order and gender inequality of these three newspapers has been clarified. Keywords: Women Politics, Governments, Government Media Relationship, Printed Media.
