Abstract (EN)
Republic of Azerbaijan gained its independence in 1991 and since the first years of its independence process, the country oriented to the Republic of Turkey with whom it shared common values as language, history, culture and religion. Numbers of agreements have been signed among the two countries on science, culture, education, economy and defense. With the independence Azerbaijan gained after 1990, the process of rapprochement between the two countries? literatures progressed from the point they were left to and developed rapidly in the early 20th century. To reveal the interaction between Azerbaijani and Turkish literature, we carefully studied the books, articles and translations have made on the Azerbaijani literature since 1990 in Turkey, as well as the studies made in Azerbaijan on Turkish literature and the workings belonging to Turkish literature which have been interpreted to Azeri Turkish. We dealt with the studies carried out in both countries after 1990 in separate groups as folk literature, Divan literature, literary relations, and researches on new literature. As a result of this research, general idea was created about the researchers? approaches on sister countries in Turkey and in Azerbaijan, the degree of improvement of the situation after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and what deficiencies still exist in these fields. After 1990, successful achievements were obtained in book publishing, which is the most important element of inter-literary interaction; numerous books were written in Turkey about Azerbaijani literature, translations from Azerbaijani literature were published. At the same time of researches on Turkish literature accelerated in Azerbaijan and a large number of works were interpreted into Azeri Turkish and published in Azerbaijan. The works published in Soviet Union times were transferred to the Latin alphabet. All of these developments have natural influence on literal interaction. Though not as much as in the early years of the 20th century, the Turkish literature is having influence on thoughts, literary language, style and technique of Azerbaijani writers and poets nowadays. Azerbaijani readers follow and read the Turkish literature with great interest. Despite of the important steps taken to promote Azerbaijani literature in Turkey, there are still gaps in this field to be resolved.Key words:1.Literature of Azerbaijan,2.Literary Relations,3.Literary Interaction,4.Azerbaijan-Turkey Relations,5.After Perestroika
