Abstract (EN)
Middle East, preserves its characteristic of being one of the mostimportant geography in the world. The region has rich energy resources andit exposed to inevitable interest of outer actors. At last period, especially US?sinterference forms the beginning of new period at the region.US represents ?Great Middle East? project as a modernization anddemocratization of this region in which Syria plays a key position. Syria is afundamental country because of neighbouring to the East Mediterranean andIsrael, neighbouring to sea of Kurt formation at Iraq?s north, possible role inIran interference. After the death of Hafiz Esad in 2000, his son Besar Esad began tolead the country and it represents the beginning of a new period. Besar Esadclaims that although there is not any differences between his father andhimself, he acts upon the requirements of the century. Hence, Syria turns itssteps towards west with Besar Esad.Tensed Turkiye-Syria relations ,the reason of which were waterproblem and Syria?s support to PKK, have been recently improved. AfterUS?s interference to Iraq, water issue lost its priority in two country relationsrelatively and due to Kurt formation at Iraq?s north treats Syria?s territory,Syria?s support to PKK has disappeared. These events in the region obligedthese two countries to develop good relations in the name of friendship.
