ABSTRACTMaster ThesisLinguistıc Examination Of Turkish LiteratureQuestions Asked In Lgs And Examınations Between 1994 And 2004Atilla YÜCESUFırat UniversityInstitue Of Social SciencesThe Department Of Turkish Education2005, page: XXII+278This study considers the linguistic properties of Turkish literature questions asked inEntrance Examination for High Schools between 1994 and 2004 and contains Turkishliterature subjects that include the questions of this exam.The thesis consists of nine chapters.In the first chapter (Introduction), in addition to the importance of education of mothertongue, its attributes and matters, research?s aim, importance and limitations, it has been dwelton general knowledge about the system of Entrance Examination for High Schools; thedispersion of questions asked in examination according to their fields.In the second, it has been intensified the method of the research.In the third, under the semantic title; including word and sentence meaning, subjects ofparagraph and questions about these subjects have been examined.In the fourth, it has been discussed the word kinds and questions relating to wordkinds.In the fifth, being given knowledge about morphology, questions relating to this fieldhave been discussed.In the sixth, being given knowledge about elements of sentence in word order andsentences kinds, questions to these fields have been examined.In the seventh, by giving general knowledge about formation causes of deformation inexpression, questions relating to the subject have been examined.In the eighth, being given general knowledge about writing rules and functions ofpunctuation marks and questions relating to these fields have been examined in addition tophonetic, under the title dictation-punctuation marks sounds in Turkish and sound events.In the ninth (Result), a general evaluation of this work has been done.Keywords: Entrance Examination for High Schools, word kinds, semantic, syntax,phonetic.
