Özet (EN)

Our country is an earthquake country where disasters occur frequently due to its geographical location. Spatial changes occur in urban and rural areas as a result of earthquakes and various disasters. It is possible to monitor and analyze the spatial changes that occur with Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Technologies. Conducting change analyses using Geographical Information Technologies and Remote Sensing methods and satellite imagery provides benefits in terms of providing access to fast and accurate information in a short time. The aim of the study is to determine the change using Geographical Information Technologies with satellite images from 1999-2023 regarding the structures damaged by two large earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 in Kahramanmaraş, which occurred on 06.02.2023 in the city center of Hatay / Antakya, using Geographical Information Technologies. In the study, it is accepted that the structures that have been added to the building stock since 1999 until today have been built according to the laws and Decrees published between 1997-2023, and the structures that have been damaged after the earthquake have been evaluated in this context.
