20th century literary ecological utopias: An evaluation of its equipment and applicability in contemporary architecture and landscape architecture practices

This study examines various utopian themes in 20th-century literary works and investigates how these themes correspond to today's architectural and landscape architecture practices. H. G. Wells's "A Modern Utopia," Ursula K. Le Guin's "The Dispossessed," Charlotte Perkins Gilman's "Land of Women," Austin Tappan Wright's "Islandia," B. F. Skinner's "Walden" Two," Aldous Huxley's "Island," Ursula K. Le Guin's "The World Is a Forest," and Starhawk's "The Fifth Sacred Thing". Different utopia themes in these works were analyzed, and an evaluation was made of the analogies between these themes and examples of contemporary architecture and landscape architecture. The study aims to reveal how the creative visions of literary works can be integrated into the field of practical design.
