A research of the evolving illustration applications and new techniques of illustration which appeared after the year 2000 till today

The aim of this thesis is to make a research parallel to the new technological advances, new techniques in the present trends of illustration and investigate the changing and evolving illustration applications after the technological developments which appeared after the year 2000. The illustration covers book illustration, campaigns prepared on the basis of texts given by the advertising agencies, packaging illustrations, product illustration, and posters of a certain concept. The research begins with the history of the illustration and continues by changing importance of illustration which effected by the spread of consumption and capitalism. Humanity have shifted to the special design objects since the motive of being different is popular. In many objects presented to the bazaar, graphics in new products plays an important role in the sales of the new product. People have turned their faces to the objects of individual character in order to indicate the social group to which they belong to and illustration here has an important role in the sales of the new product. By the growth and expansion of social media, new forms of expression in illustration have appeared to underline originality, creativity and many new illustration sites have appeared for illustrators to sell their art and share these sites as a showcase. These sites have eclectic characteristics which can be both a source of inspiration for illustrator, as well as socialise with other illustrators and also a portfolio to present the illustrator and his/her art. Illustrators can easily create their own brands or cooperate with many international clients to stand as a freelancer presenting their art in these international art channels. While exploring the developments of illustration with the influence of all these new formations, channels, links established with the different disciplines and the breakthroughs through which the new generation trends and technologies can be landed with old and new illustrations styles which are constitute the basis of this research.
