The investigation of science education articles published between 2004-2013 related to their subjects and methods

This study is aimed to determine the science education articles published in Turkey in current journals whose 5 years archives were reached between 2004- 2013 and to find out which subjects were handled and which methods were used in them. In this research 10165 articles in 29 journals between 2004-2013 were reached and investigated regarding to the criteria. 1073 of these articles were written and published on science education. When the methods of these articles were investigated, descriptive method was mostly used in them. When these articles were investigated based on the subject, it was seen that most of them were about testing and evaluation. As a result of the research, it was determined that the number of articles was increased in the last ten years on both education and science education. The necessary recommendations were given in the conclusion part to sustain the publication of qualified articles in future.
