The applicabilty of 2005 primary school Turkish course programme in hearing-impaired primary schools according to teachers? attitudes

The aim of this research is to determine and evaluate the attitudes of teachers about the Turkish course programme in hearing-imparied primary schools in 2005-2006 educational period.Research was conducted with 220 teachers who works in hearing-imparied primary schools in Turkey-wide and are selected randomly in these groups.The scale is used as data collecting instrument. To determine structural validity of data collecting instrument that is consist of 64 items is used factor analysis. At the end of the factor analysis 59 items has decided and their factor load? is from .41 to .79. Five items cancelled from the scale. After this level, the genaral validity of the scale calculated as .95. Gainings, the applicability of the programme, activities and the evaluation groups were formed after appliying the factor analysis.In this research data collecting instrument was analized in terms of 5 questions related to personal information, gender, length of service, the level of class, schooll location. The average points from the data collecting instrument evaluated statistically. The meaning level is decided as 0.05. To decide distribution is used aritmetical mean, standard deviation frequency, percentage; t- test and one-way variance analysis(ANOVA) is used to compare points between groups. The teachers in this research stated that the programme is not applicable in application group and programme is applicable in evaluation group in hearing-imparied primary schools. In addition, the meaningful differences was found in terms of school type, length of service and gender related to applicability of Turkish course programme in heraing imparied primary schools. But the meaningful differences was not found in terms of school level and the location of schools.
