Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis study is to investigate whether or to what extent it provides the continuity of visual identity between the printed and electronic editions of the journals in both media in a consistent way today, where they exist together in printed and electronic media. In the study, the development processes of printed and electronic publications, electronic publication types and formats were investigated by literature review. The elements that make up the visual identity in print and electronic magazine design were examined, and five selected magazines (National Geographic Turkey, Skylife, Harvard Business Review Turkey, Log, Wired Magazine) were analyzed in terms of logo, format and cover, page structure, typographic decisions and color usage. In the light of the data obtained as a result of this analysis, a new design proposal was presented for the Graphic Design Magazine. First, a design language for smartphones was created for the Graphic Design Magazine, and then this design was transferred to the printed edition in a way that would maintain the visual identity consistently.
