Bone artifacts uncovered during the Cibyra excavations between 2006-2018

Kibyra Ancient City is located within the borders of Gölhisar district of Burdur provine. It is one of the important ancient settlements. Scientific excavations have been carried out in the city in question since 2006. Bone artifacts found in the Kibyra excavations were studied scientifically fort he first time with this study. The subject of the study is bone artifacts uncovered in Kibyra between 2006 and 2018. Considering the find places of bone artifacts and the contexts of the finds if any, suggestions were made regarding the functions and dating of the artefacts by making analogical comparison with the similar ones. Bone artifacts were found inside the Eastern Necropolis, the Odeion, the Late Period Bath the Roman Bath Complex, the Stadion, the Agora and the Shops. 186 work were evaluated within this scope. The Works belonging to the Roman and Byzantine Periods, the lack of complete and robust Works in both periods and the scarcity of studies in this field have caused us to be insufficient in determining the usage functions in type and form studies Although there is no architectural area fort he bone artifact production center, it gives clues that the semi-work and production waste bones unearthed as a resault of excavations may have been processed by the bone artifact production center od small portable mobile looms in the ancient city of Kibyra, and the said artifacts may taken place in public places.
