Investigation of teachers' views about 2006 year early childhood education programme

The aim of this study is to investigate view of teachers about 2006 early childhood education programme.240 early childhood teachers, working during 2008-2009 academic year in NUTS 1. Region Balıkesir, Bolu, Elazığ, Erzurum, Gaziantep, İstanbul, Kastamonu, Manisa, Mersin, Nevşehir, Rize, Ankara cities, participated in this study.Two part survey was developed and used to determine view of teachers about 2006 early childhood education programme with screening model. In the first part of the survey, personal informations of the teachers including years of experience, in-service education existance, school type of work, education level and age were asked. Second part consists of questions to determine view of teachers about 2006 early childhood education programme. In the study, t-test, Levene-f test and Anova test have been applied.At the end of the study, data and analysis show that teachers? years of experience, the school where the teachers last graduated and age was not significantly related to teachers? views. Most of the teachers have given positive views about program. Recommendations based on the results were given to researchers and teachers.Key words: Early Chlidhood Education Programme, Teachers? views, Curriculum Evaluation
