The consideration of geometry curriculums which has come into operation in 2009-2010 education year in accordance with the teacher's view

The purpose of this research is to evaluate 9, 10 and 11th grade geometry curriculum from the view point of geometry teachers and through this way it intended to clarify implementing problems of the curriculum within the actual context. By this way, the curriculum of geometry lesson has been studied with its contents, acquisition, activities and appreciation aspects. In the research, as a means of gathering information, interviewing and document analyze have been used. Within the document analyzing, 9,10 and 11th grade geometry textbooks based in the curriculum and curriculum guide have been scrutinized; within interviewing, 7 Math's teachers who teach geometry and 1 Math's Specialist Trainer who participates in revising studies of current curriculum have been consulted. In the analyze of interview data, descriptive and content analyzes have been done and NVivo 8.0 pack programme has been used. Within document analyzing, geometry curriculum, geometry textbooks and the data that gained have been taken into hand and with frequency and percentage values have been used to show the current situation. At the end of study , it has been determined that teachers are complaint about especially the content and complexity of the programme , that teachers have difficulties in adapting to the new geometry curriculum since the new one has been put into use and that teachers are teaching lessons with the old-fashioned experiences they gained in the past. This study reveals that in order to attain a success of this curriculum, teachers must be provided well with this new curriculum. Key words: Geometry Curriculum, Programme Analyze.
