2011-2012 Turkcell Super League and the Bank Asya League 1 matches played strokes match analysis used in comparison with corner

The main objective of this research is comparing the difference in corner kicks in 2011-2012 between Turkcell Super Lig and Bank Asya 1.Lig ( right and left corners, kicked corners to 1., 2., 3., 4., 5., 6. areas, defence, goalkeeper, forward player). At this study,analysis was carried out with paper and pencil method on randomly chosen 6 teams? 41 matches from Turkcell Super Lig and again randomly chosen 6 teams? 46 matches from Bank Asya 1.Lig. Turkcell Super Lig and Bank Asya 1.Lig teams? corner kicks are investigated with dividing the penalty area to 6 parts.Differences and percentages of corner kicks in order to find the dangerous zone, differences in number of corner kicks and number of meetings of goalkeepers and forward players with the ball in corner kicks were studied. After analyzing and investigating these numbers; Average corner kicks per match towards 1st area is 2.91 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas the number is 2.56 in Turkcell Super Lig teams. Average corner kicks per match towards 2nd area is 3.17 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas the value is 2.26 in Turkcell Super Lig teams. Average corner kicks per match towards 3rd area is 2.82 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas it is 2.96 in Turkcell Super Lig teams. Average corner kicks per match towards 4st area is 2.36 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas it is 2.78 in Turkcell Super Lig teams. Average corner kicks per match towards 5th area is 1.50 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas it is 2.24 in Turkcell Super Lig teams. Average corner kicks per match towards 6th area is 0.52 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas the number is 1.12 in Turkcell Super Lig teams. When looked at the players who met the corner kicks of Turkcell Super Lig and Bank Asya 1.Lig teams that are within the scope of the research, it can be seen that goalkeepers of Bank Asya 1.Lig held the ball after kicking at an average of 4.02 per match whereas defence players got into ball and kicked the ball away from dangerous area average of 4.84 per match.At the other side,at these statistics,Turkcell Super Lig averages are 4.04 and 4.21 respectively.In addition, forward players also met with ball with an average of 4.19 in Bank Asya 1.Lig and 5.26 in Turkcell Super Lig per match. After some additional investigation,it is seen that average corner kicks resulted in goals per match is 0.26 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas 0.43 in Turkcell Super Lig.Corner kicks resulted in goal kicks was 3.93 in Bank Asya 1.Lig teams whereas in Turkcell Super Lig the number is 4.26 per match.Corner kicks resulted in additional corner kicks is 0.73 and corner kicks where the ball met with goalkeeper is 3.47 per matches in Bank Asya 1.Lig where these are 0.97 and 4 in Turkcell Super Lig respectively. According to T-Test results for variation of the corner kicks with corner position of teams in Turkcell Super Lig and Bank Asya 1.Lig within the scope of this research: Investigating the corner kicks from left corner,any meaningful statistical difference could not be found.
