Abstract (EN)

In today's changing dynamic world, new needs arise; These emerging needs make it possible to create new business lines that will satisfy them. For this reason, entrepreneurship skill is one of the indispensable skills in order to adapt to the changing and developing world and to make the future of countries stronger in economic terms. Countries need generations who can keep up with the changes for their future, who are productive and who have gained entrepreneurial skills. For this reason, it is important that students who will graduate from schools are equipped with entrepreneurial skills. Entrepreneurship skill is an important skill that should be acquired by individuals at all levels of primary education, starting from a young age. In particular, it is important that the content and achievements of the social studies course, which has the mission of ensuring that the individual is compatible with the society as an active and productive individual, and preparing them for life, and that the social studies textbooks are equipped with entrepreneurial skills. In this research, it is aimed to evaluate the inclusion of entrepreneurship skills in the 2018 Social Studies Curriculum (SSLC) and Social Studies textbooks. For this purpose, qualitative research methods were used in the research process. In the context of suitability for the structure of the study, the Case Study pattern, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The documents of the study consist of the 2018 Social Studies Curriculum published by the Ministry of National Education and the 5th, 6th and 7th grade social studies textbooks taught in secondary schools throughout Turkey in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the study, entrepreneurship skills were tried to be determined in the 2018 social studies curriculum and social studies textbooks with the document review method. Descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative data analysis methods, was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the textbooks. The subject of our research, "The State of Entrepreneurship Skills in the Social Studies Curriculum and Textbooks", was first analyzed by the SBÖP and four topics related to our research topic were identified within the program.The titles of these communes are; 1. National Education Program 2. The Objectives of the Teaching Program 3. Special Purposes of Social Studies Teaching 4. Basic Skills in Teaching Social Studies By examining the learning areas within the SBÖP, it was determined which learning areas the entrepreneurial skill is related to and the achievements corresponding to these learning areas were included.Of these gains, 5.6. and 7. activities related to its processing are included in the classroom Social Studies Textbooks.Detailed document information about the above subject headings is given in the results section of our study.
