Özet (EN)
People have performed various professions throughout history within the framework of the reasons required by life and their abilities and tendencies. Every professional formation carries traces of the conditions of the period when it emerged. Occupations like medicine and engineering have taken place in almost all stages of human history under different names. With the innovations and scientific developments brought by time, the content and extent of the professions started to change. A similar, yet dimensionally focused technology-oriented effect caused by the Industrial Revolution in business and professional life has led to the 21st century professional transformation. With the developments in the information and communication sector, robotization tendencies, artificial intelligence, automation and increasing digitalization, the world of professions has entered a transformation process. Some of the professions that used to exist have disappeared and some of them have remained updated. Just as the demand for brain power rather than the arm strength increased with the information age, the demand for social skills as well as technical skills has increased considerably in today's communication age. Professional transformation in the 21st century; It means providing the automation that can be realized with the current technology and using the human factor in communication oriented jobs and professions that require managerial and social skills. There is a negative view that, with digitalization, people will be taken away from their jobs and thus fall into a devastating state. In addition to the professions that technology eliminates or makes unnecessary, there is also a positive opinion that will derive new fields and that change will only operate the human phenomenon in different places and with new skills. In this study, both views are included for the adoption of the conversion and analysing current status in terms of Turkey. In this study, current situation and forecasting reports published on international platforms on professional transformation were examined; Based on access to current information, a literature review was made using various books, articles and statistics. In order to talk about a professional transformation, vocational and technical education should also be examined. A part of the thesis is devoted to examining the situation in vocational and technical education for this purpose in the world and Turkey. New formations, which are called the professions of the future, can not be considered separately from the education that will acquire the knowledge and skills required by these professions. Accordingly, after examining the current situation of vocational and technical education and examining what the future professions and what they require, an evaluation has been made from a critical perspective. After discussion issues related to accupational change in Turkey, a model has been proposed which is a solution proposal.
