Abstract (EN)
In this study; Due to sexual abuse in Sakarya Children's Monitoring Center The aim of this study was to determine the socio-demographic and economic characteristics of children who were victims of abuse and their families who were interviewed between the ages of 3-18. For this purpose, it has been aimed to inform families, teachers, doctors, police and judiciary members who work with children at mezzo level. In this study, it was prepared by retrospective research method which is one of the observational research methods. The sample of the study consisted of 150 children aged between 3-18 years and their families who were referred to the Sakarya Children's Monitoring Center with the instructions of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in the province of Sakarya between the years of 2017-2018 Retrospective analysis of the files of children who are victims of sexual abuse; In order to determine the socio-demographic and economic characteristics of children, the nature of the sexual abuse, the identity of the abuser and the reactions of the children after the abuse, it was completed with the help of a data screening form without revealing the victims and the suspects. A total of 150 children (109 girls and 41 boys) were studied. The mean age of the children was 11.39 ± 3.77 years It was determined that children were exposed to non-penetrating weights with a ratio of 45.3% and that they were exposed to oral, vaginal and anal penetration touches with a rate of 41.3% and verbal abuse with 13.3%, respectively. It was found that sexual abuse occurred more than once with 68.7%. When we look at the place where sexual abuse occurs most, it is determined that there are houses, social areas and forested areas. When the data of the abuser were examined, it was determined that 52.7% of the children were subjected to sexual abuse by incest and 42% by their acquaintance / friend / boyfriend or girlfriend. The rate of sexual abuse by foreigners was 5.3%. When the characteristics of the parents of children are examined; 25-35 years old, primary school graduates, individuals with no history of disease In this context, it was determined that the children's socio-demographic and economic characteristics were not predictive of explaining the sexual abuse of children and these characteristics could be considered as risk factors for sexual abuse. It is concluded that parents have a positive evaluation of their children's free time and their children 's risk of sexual abuse significantly. As a result, there is no single factor explaining sexual abuse and the structure and characteristics of the family can be considered as risk factors. It was concluded that the quality time spent by the family members is a feature that decreases childhood sexual abuse
