Abstract (EN)

In this study, transcription of registry book of number XXXV Antalya Religious Court (şer'i mahkeme) is conducted and the data in the book are evaluated. As is known, associated with the progression of World politics in XIX. century, the alterations that Ottoman Empire institutions had come across in its historical process increased the distress the government is in. Fundamental innovations are made in the administrative area after the rescript of Gülhane to prevent the resolution in Ottoman governmental mechanism and to supply the needs of the era. When XXXV numbered Antalya Religious Registry Book (şer'iyye sicil defteri) is analyzed, it's understood that these reforms effected Antalya city administration in 1891 and 1892. In this period, delegated judge was responsible for jurisdiction within administrative structure of Antalya. Changes and reforms effected not only jurisdiction but also money market, prices, property, personal status and settlement arrangement. It's possible to say that, as an important community where yuruk tribe lived with its social and ethnicity and as a place where yuruk culture is protected, Antalya, has typical Ottoman city features. Besides including reforms in Tanzimat era, analyzed XXXV Numbered Antalya Religious Court registration book gives us information about Antalya's economic, social and cultural condition in 1891 and 1892.
