Abstract (EN)
In this thesis the power flow and contingency analysis are made, based on Turkey?s interconnected northwest anatolia power system which consists of 18 generation and 96 load bus totaling 114 bus connected each other with 380 and 154 Kv energy transmission lines, to plan next generation new power systems. All these studies are implemented using PSAT program in MATLAB. PSAT program due to the graphical user interface (GUI) the written program can be used power flow analysis for different power systems. Load flow and contingency analysis are made by using Newton Raphson iterative method in PSAT program. As a result of studies additional transformers, transmission lines and electricity production units are determined.Key Words: Power Systems, Load Flow, Contingency Analysis
