Abstract (EN)

The present research was conducted to investigate relationship between self regulation skills and anxiety level of children aged between 4 and 6 years. Therefore, it was sought out if the correlation between self-regulation skills and anxiety level significantly varies in terms of gender, age, education level of parents and level of anxiety significantly varies with respect to gender, age and education level of parents. InstrumentforMeasuring Self-RegulationSkills of 4-6 - Year -OldChildren (Mother Form)developedby Erol &İvrendi (2018), Revisedthe Preschool AnxietyScaledevelopedby Güler (2016), personalinformation form forparentsandchildrendesignedbytheresearcherweredevelopedtocollectdata. Theresearchwasconductedwith 402 parentswhosechildrenareagedbetween 4-6 yearsarestudyingpreschool in Samsun. Alongwithnormality test PearsonCorrelation Analysis, Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA), One-WayAanalysis of Variance (ANOVA) and t-test wereemployed. Itwasfoundthatthere is weakandnegativecorrelationbetween self-regulationskillsandanxietylevel. Inaddtiontothat, it wasobservedthatthere is not significantreusultsbetween self-regulationskillsandanxietylevel in terms of gender, age, andeducationlevel of parents, there is nosiginifcantresults of anxietylevel in tmers of gender, age, andeducationlevel of parents. Findings of theresearcherwerediscussedalongwiththeliteratüreandsuggestionsweremade.
