Abstract (EN)

Business descriptions, organizational plans and inter-organizational rules are no longer responding to the new developed works and organizational structures and are requiring structures and methods requiring workforce with an education level increasing more and more, considering both the organizational and individual development and paying particularly attention to the individual features present. This situation is resulting from the fact that certain knowledge and skills are becoming invalid in time and are replaced by new knowledge and skills, and this is the reason for the request for personnel sharing the organizational values, vision and inclined to learn new knowledge and skills. The adequacy based performance method ensures an easier observation from point of view of the manager, because the performances of the employees are determined behavior-based and thus the assessments can be made more fair and objectively. The employee is aware of the behaviors awaited and is improving itself accordingly. Further, because this established adequacy model has been created paying attention to the behaviors presented by the employees with high performance, it is possible to increase/improve the performance of all employees, and accordingly company?s performance will be improved.Looking from this extent, an employment assurance is ensured, which makes employee?s job lost difficult or at least is oriented to remedy the loss born thereout and covering all regulations oriented to ensure the continuity of the labor contract, and further it is ensured not to prohibit the employer to dismiss an employee, but to prohibit the arbitrary dismissal of employees and thus the effective utilization of employee?s legal and further constitutional rights is ensured. Consequently the justification ?adequacy of the employee? mentioned in the 18th article of the Labor Code obtains an attribute within the performance assessment systems established in the company.Key Words: Adequacy, Performance Assessment, Termination, Adequacy based Performance Assessment, Termination due to a valid reason.
