The investigation of school readiness level of five and six years old preschool children

School readiness can be defined as being at a reasonable capability level of children in the perspective of physical, cognitive, social, and emotional and self-care and completion of competence accordingly. The school readiness that occurs in different environment at pre-school period is influenced by different effects. The aim of this research to examine the whether the school readiness levels of children (of age 5 and 6) differentiate or not. The sample of the research is formed by 391 children of ages 5 and 6, their teachers and parents. For this aim we used Marmara Primary School Readiness Scale Form (MİHÖ) for children of this specific group, information and development scale forms (MİHÖ) for parents and development scale forms (MİHÖ) for teachers. Our research was designed as scanning models in accordance with quantitative search methods. In analysing the data the statistics as standard deviation in perspective of percentage, frequency, average are used in the same way to examine the distribution of data set Shapiro-Wilk and Kolmogorov Smirnov testing are used. To state the normative of the deviation Test T and Test Anova are done well. We also have used the Pearson Momentums Multiplications. As the structure of children of ages 5 and 6 heterogenic to compare these groups simultaneously Tamhane T2 test is used. According to the results of the data we have out of the research the school readiness level was observed changing by the perspective of age, pre-school education, regular continuing of schooling, the age of parents, the level of education of parents and the income level of the family, and the socio-cultural levels but it doesn't change in perspective of sex, number of brothers and sisters. The teachers and the parents state that the school readiness level of children of age 5 and 6 is suitable to each other.
