The roles of father and mother in 6-12 years old children?s religious and moral?s development (Examples of İzmir and Sakarya)

This academical work aims to explaining the religious and moral development of the children living in İzmir and Sakarya which are between 6-12 years old according to the variables of their age, sex, domicile, number of brother/sister, and their parents? educational situation and age, and living their relatives together, and who is he/she they take the most of religional knowledge. In the work it is used questionarie as data collecting technics. This questionarie is applied to 405 persons chosed between the children explained their specialities by of random samples.The questionarie consists of 61 items. Its 11 items include the wariables and rest of the questionarie includes the matters provided to measure the points of the parents? and children?s religional and moral development. The data obtained from the questionarie were analyzed with the statistics computer programme SPSS 11.0This work consist of these four volumes : 1. introduction, 2. theorical frame, 3. findings and their interpretation and 4. conclusion and suggestion. The first chapter gives represantative informations about aim, importance, method etc. The second chapter includes theorical knowledges related to the work. Ther are knowledges and their interpretations obtained from the applied questionarie in the third chapter And firth chapter explains the conclusion of the work.According to results of investigates , personal characteristic of childs do not effective to their evoluotion of religious and ethical,on the other hand we can say that as family structure, and existence of location environmental factors are more efffective about that. Specially,if the parents are paying attention to aducation of their childs those are the most effective factor about childs growing.Keywords: religion, moral, religious development, moral development, religional psychology.
